Councilman Tom Dwyer Talks Ecological Commission

Smith who is one of the members of the Ecological Commission. Mackey Horse Sculpture Being Restored

Follow North Hempstead Television for part two of the famous Mackey horse restoration. Town Clerk Leslie Gross and Parks Commissioner Donald Zauner visit the disassembled sculpture at North Shore Stone in Glen Head. They also tour the site where the finished monument will stand – Roslyn Pond Park. Louise Fishman from the Business and Tourism Development Corporation (BTDC) and historian Howard Kropnick are on hand to lend their input and expertise.

2011 Polar Plunge

They’re “Freezin For A Reason” again at the Special Olympics fund-raising event held each winter at North Hempstead Beach Park. This year about 450 brave swimmers dove into the chill waters of Manhasset Bay to help raise money for New York’s Special Olympic program. Supervisor Kaiman was one of the divers and hosts this segment.

Women's Roll of Honor 2011

The 2011 Women’s Roll of Honor was held at the Roslyn Claremont Hotel in Roslyn and North Hempstead TV cameras were there to capture the event. Thirteen women from North Hempstead were honored at the event which was hosted by Town Clerk Leslie Gross.

Black History Month Celebration

Garden Corner Composting Class

The Town of North Hempstead has a program for residents to obtain their own specialized composting bin and also receive a training lesson from the Clark Garden staff. NHTV was on hand when the training was done for students at the Great Neck Village school.
