About the Town
The
Town of North Hempstead occupies 58 square miles. Its
western border is roughly 14.5 miles from Manhattan. It is
bounded on the north by the Long Island Sound, to the south
by the Town of Hempstead, to the west by the borough of
Queens, and to the east by the Town of Oyster Bay. Its
northern land boundaries are extensively arranged along the
Little Neck and Manhasset Bays, and Hempstead
